(Q) How is the Coren Disposable Ear piercer different from other ear piercers?
(A) The Coren ear piercer is different from other ear piercers because it is completely sterile and disposable. It has been recommended and used by Doctors and other Healthcare Professionals for over 30 years (click here to read Professor Noah’s full review) Unlike some other manufacturers the Coren ear stud is one-piece, so there’s no welding or nickel in between plating.

(Q) What is the advantage of using disposable ear piercers?
(A) By using the Coren disposable ear piercer as directed you are eliminating the risk of blood-borne diseases (such as AIDS). Many older ear piercing guns require autoclaving to achieve sterility. An alcohol soak will NOT sterilise ear piercing guns or reusable instruments. Pre-sterilized and pre-loaded the Coren ear piecer is ready for immediate use and is not as intimidating as a metal gun to your clients.

(Q) Is it easy to use?
(A) Absolutely! It pierces ears quickly, easily and safely.

(Q) How do you properly hold the ear piercer?
(A) Place the middle of your thumb over the plunger. Bend your forefinger securely around the ear piercer. Then increase pressure on the plunger. The piercer will be heard to ‘Snap’ as the restraining seal breaks, at this point the stud will be inserted and the clasps attached in one quick, safe and accurate procedure. Then gently release your grip, support the ear and pull down sharply after the ear has been pierced to remove the plastic piercer. For additional control during piercing use the Coren Squeezer. (Q) Is it sterile?
(A) Yes. The entire plastic earpiercer and stud is prepackaged, pre-loaded and then sterilised. However, the sterility of this device is guaranteed only if the plastic envelope is undamaged and unopened. Each individually packaged unit is used once only and then disposed of.

(Q) What kind of studs can I choose from?
(A) All studs for the Coren Disposable Ear piercing System are made of a single piece of surgical grade stainless steel, which are available plated in 24 carat gold or sterling silver, with the option of simulated Diamonds. Unlike many other manufacturers the Coren ear stud is one-piece, so there’s no welding or nickel in between plating and all ear piercers are hypo allergenic. A pediatric piercer especially designed for younger clients under the age of 10 which offers smaller sized studs.
